Remote Desktop Connection
For those using a Windows PC at work, you may be able to access your work computer from home using the Remote Desktop Program (RDP). RDP allows you to connect to your work PC from anywhere as if you were physically there and access your network drives such as your home H: and shared S: drives. It will also ensure you have access to any files that might be on your work computer directly and will ensure that you have access to any of the applications that are installed and needed for you to do your work.
Some applications or websites may be available without using RDP or the VPN. If you find you cannot connect to an application or website, first try using the VPN and failing that use RDP to access those resources as you would if you were physically at work.
